About Painted Woods
Painted Woods Golf Course is located in the rolling prairie of western North Dakota. The course offer golfers five sets of tees that allow the course to play from 3,800 to nearly 7,000 yards. Golfers of all skill levels will enjoy the dramatic elevation changes, majestic scenery, and Painted Woods Creek that winds through the course. Along with 18 unique, well-manicured holes, Painted Woods offers a full-service clubhouse and a practice range.
The golf course opened in 1979 as a picturesque 9-hole course. In 2014, with support from our local communities of Washburn and Wilton, and the endless devotion of our members, Painted Woods expanded into the 18-hole hidden gem you see today.
We at Painted Woods would like to thank Randy Workman for not only shaping our beautiful new holes but going above and beyond his job description. Randy was instrumental in the design and irrigation installation and also lent his experience, contacts, and knowledge on the details that were crucial to the completion of our expansion.
