Michael Herzog, PGA PGA Teaching Professional

As the Head Golf Professional at Painted Woods Golf Course, Michael Herzog brings nearly 25 years of experience in teaching the game to thousands of golfers.
A former collegiate coach and recipient of the GRAA award, he specializes in breaking down complex techniques into simple, digestible steps suitable for all skill levels. Michael was recently recognized by Golf Digest as the Best Teacher in North Dakota for the 2026-2027 period.
He is excited to collaborate with his wife, Stacy, to enhance the teaching experiences for their members and guests while also promoting the game of golf among youth.

 

Stacy Herzog
Player Development Director

Stacy Herzog is the Player Development Director at Painted Woods Golf Course in Washburn, North Dakota. Working alongside her husband, PGA Head Golf Professional Michael Herzog, she is dedicated to growing the game through tailored instruction and community engagement.
As Player Development Director, Stacy focuses on enhancing the teaching experience for both members and guests. She is particularly passionate about promoting golf among youth and fostering a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels.
Stacy is starting her second year as the coach for the Southern McLean Girls Golf team, coordinating player and parent outreach at Painted Woods to support aspiring young athletes.
